Account & Sign-In

Under development — not yet released

The Android version is still in development and testing and has not been officially released. The following describes the currently planned features; the actual screens, availability, and details may change, and some features are not yet enabled.

Your Yucts Travel account is your Yucts Travel forum account — the app and the forum share the same account. Features that require signing in will automatically bring up the sign-in screen.

Sign-In Methods​

1. Username and Password​

  1. On the "Sign In" tab, enter your username or email and password.
  2. Tap "Sign In".
  • If your account has two-step verification (2FA) enabled, a verification screen appears where you can choose a verification method (authenticator app / email code / SMS code / backup code) and enter the code to complete sign-in.
  • Forgot your password? Tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email to receive a reset message (for security reasons, it shows "sent" whether or not the email exists).

2. Social Sign-In (Browser Web Authorization)​

Tapping the social sign-in button opens a browser to go through the forum's web-based login flow; afterward you return to the app to exchange it for a signed-in state.

Android Differences (In Development)

There is no one-tap Google sign-in yet; social sign-in uses a generic web-based login in the browser, not "Sign in with Apple". The web-based login flow is wired up, but the sign-in screen marks this as follow-up work, so actual availability may change. Apple sign-in and anti-bot verification (CAPTCHA) are currently not enabled.

Registration​

On the sign-in screen, switch to the "Register" tab:

  1. Fill in your username, email, and password.
  2. Check the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  3. Tap "Create Account".

Depending on the site's settings, after registering you may be signed in directly, sign in after receiving a verification email, or enter a wait for admin approval state.

The registration flow does not yet integrate anti-bot verification (Turnstile).

Profile (Read-Only)​

On the profile page you can view: your avatar, nickname, statistics, email, registration date, and a member QR card (linking to your forum member page).

In Development

The Android profile is currently read-only and doesn't yet support editing fields or uploading an avatar. To change your profile, please go to the forum website.

Phone Verification​

For phone verification in settings:

  1. Enter a phone number in E.164 international format (with country code, e.g. Taiwan +886912345678).
  2. Tap "Send Code", and the app will send a 6-digit verification code.
  3. Enter the code and tap "Confirm" to finish.

Signed-In Devices​

In the "Signed-In Devices" settings you can view and manage sign-in status, in two parts:

  • App devices: this app's sign-in records; you can revoke other devices.
  • Forum sessions: manage the forum web sign-in sessions; they can be revoked.

Sign Out and Delete Account​

On the profile page:

  • Sign Out: the server revokes the sign-in and clears the local sign-in state.
  • Delete Account: requires entering your username to confirm (it must match the current account) before the deletion is submitted.
Changing your password / email

For security reasons, please change your password and email on the forum website; the app only provides sign-in, registration, and forgot password.
