Frequently Asked Questions
What can guests (without signing in) do?
You can browse blog articles, forum threads, unified search, reading history, and Recommended for You, and use the travel tools and trip features.
Why do some features require signing in?
Bookmarks, push preferences, posting / replying / private messages, following, reporting, translating posts, AI conversation history, and the like require signing in to a forum account.
Can I use Google one-tap sign-in on Android?
Not currently. The Android version hasn't integrated one-tap Google sign-in; social sign-in uses a web-based login flow. Username-and-password sign-in works normally. This is still in development.
Why am I not receiving push notifications?
Push on the Android version is still in development: (1) backend push service delivery is still pending configuration; (2) the Android 13+ notification permission is not yet requested in the app, so you may need to enable it manually under System Settings → Apps → this app → Notifications; (3) personalized push requires signing in. See Notifications & Widgets.
Can I purchase Yucts Plus on Android?
Not yet. Although Google Play purchase is wired up, the backend Android purchase verification is not yet enabled, so an Android in-app purchase can't activate Plus. If you've upgraded on the forum website or been granted it by the site, you'll still be recognized as a Plus member. See Yucts Plus Subscription.
Can the map locate my current position?
No. The Android version uses OpenStreetMap and doesn't use the device's GPS; the coordinates for adding a place must be entered manually, and there's no place search. See Travel Planning & Map.
Why is there no currency conversion?
The Android version currently has no currency conversion tool; the multi-currency amounts in expense tracking must be entered as the TWD equivalent yourself.
Can articles be shared?
The Android version's article / reading screens currently have no share button; however, the travel journal PDF and AI messages can be shared via the system share sheet.
Can I edit my profile?
The Android profile is currently read-only and doesn't yet support editing fields or uploading an avatar. To make changes, please go to the forum website.
Is the document vault secure?
The document vault is unlocked with biometrics, its confidential fields are encrypted by the Android Keystore, and they are stored only on the device — not uploaded and not synced. See Travel Records & Documents.
How do I clear the cache?
Use the clear-cache option in settings to clear the local database and cache directories.
Where do I change my password or email?
For security reasons, please change your password and email on the forum website; the app provides sign-in, registration, and forgot password.
