Under development — not yet released

The Android version is still in development and testing and has not been officially released. The following describes the currently planned features; the actual screens, availability, and details may change, and some features are not yet enabled.

Home​

"Home" brings together travel articles (the blog) and forum threads (forum discussions). From top to bottom it includes:

  • Top toolbar: profile, the official announcement center, reading history, bookmarks, and search.
  • Latest announcement banner: shown when there's an active announcement; tap to see details.
  • Six category tiles: Travel / Food / Attractions / Aviation / Itineraries / Lodging; each tile shows the current content count, and tapping enters that category's search results.
  • Featured destinations carousel + "View all destinations" (browse grouped by country).
  • Latest articles: a list of article cards; tap a card to read.
  • Recommended for You: recommendations computed on the device based on your reading interests (appears after you've accumulated a certain number of views).
  • Newsletter subscription: enter your email and tap to subscribe.
  • Follow us: Instagram / YouTube / Facebook / Threads / X; tapping opens externally.
In Development

Currently the featured destinations and "all destinations" content is built-in sample data (about 14 entries) and isn't yet connected to a dynamic source; the "More" header action in the latest articles section currently does nothing.

Tap search on Home:

  1. Enter a keyword (at least 2 characters) and submit; it searches both the blog and the forum and merges the results.
  2. Use chips to switch between "All / Articles / Threads".
  3. Before you search, it offers recent searches (you can remove individual entries or clear them all).

Article Details and Reader Mode​

Tap any blog article card to open the article detail page, which includes the key visual image, title, author / date, and body:

  • Entering an article is automatically recorded in your reading history.
  • Bookmark: tap the bookmark to save; guests are prompted to sign in first.
  • Reader Mode: presents the body in a clean, full-screen layout where you can adjust the font size (S / M / L / XL) and theme (paper / beige / dark); the settings are remembered.
Android Differences (In Development)

The article and reading screens currently have no share button (system sharing isn't wired up). External links open in the system browser.

Bookmarks (My Favorites)​

  • On the article detail page, tap the bookmark to save; forum threads / replies can likewise be bookmarked within the forum.
  • The bookmarks page has two tabs: Bookmarks (Favorites) and Offline.

Reading History​

Under "Reading History" at the top:

  • Browse the articles / threads you've viewed by time; filter with "All / Saved / Blog / Forum".
  • The history updates in real time and is stored on the local device.

Based on your reading history, the app computes your interests on the device and recommends related content (combining country / category with time decay and view counts); when you don't have enough views, it prompts you to read more. This feature doesn't require signing in.

Announcement Center​

The "Announcement Center" lists active announcements (pinned first, marked with an importance dot); tap to see details, and some announcements include an external link.

Deals (Marketing Tab)​

The "Deals" tab gathers offers, discounts, and events from the blog and forum:

  • Switch the source with "BLOG / FORUM", with a monthly featured banner, and filter with tag chips.
  • Deal cards show a limited-quantity badge and an expiry date; pull to refresh, scroll to the bottom to auto-load more, and a back-to-top button is available.

Authors​

The "Authors" tab introduces the author team:

  • Tap an author card to open their profile, which has three tabs — "Articles / Threads / About" — where articles and threads are real content loaded with pagination.
  • After signing in, you can apply to "Join the author team" (this sends a forum private message to the admins from your forum account).

The Authors directory (team intro and author cards) is currently built-in sample data; the articles / threads inside an author's profile are real content.
