Yucts Travel iOS App User Guide
Welcome to Yucts Travel — an iOS app that combines travel content, trip-planning tools, a community forum for travelers, and an AI assistant. This guide explains each feature and how to use it.
Choose Your Layout
The first time you open the app, you'll be asked to pick a layout that best matches how you like to use the app (you can change it anytime later under "Profile → Layout"):

The Five Main Tabs
No matter which layout you choose, there are five tabs at the bottom; only Tabs 2 and 3 change depending on the layout, while the other three tabs are the same across all layouts:

| Home (fixed) | Travel article feed, recommendations, categories, and destinations. The compass icon at the top left opens your profile and settings; the top right has reading history, search, and notifications (the bell). |

Cross-Tab Features
- Search — The search at the top right of Home lets you find both on-site articles and forum content together.
- Bookmarks — Both articles and forum threads can be bookmarked, and you can view them together under "My Bookmarks" in your profile (blog and forum bookmarks combined).
- Offline reading / Reading history — Open your reading history from Home to revisit what you've read.
- Push notifications — Forum alerts (@mentions, replies, quotes) and new private messages are pushed, with the unread count shown on the app icon and the Home bell. See Notifications & Widgets.
- Profile — Open it via the compass icon at the top left of Home; it includes forum info, membership, bookmarks, settings, and account management.
- AI Travel Assistant — Ask travel questions, plan trips, and get recommendations; it can search on-site articles and forum content. See AI Assistant & Translation.
- Translation — Articles and forum content can be translated on-device; you can enable "Auto-translate articles" in settings.
- iCloud sync — Sync your appearance, notification, and other preferences across devices via your iCloud, along with travel data such as trips, packing, expenses, shopping, journals, and bookmarks.

Getting Started
- You can browse most content as a guest without registering; forum interaction, personalization, and some sync features require signing in.
- Sign-in methods include username and password, Sign in with Apple, and other social accounts (web authorization).

System Requirements
This app requires iOS 17 or later. Some features (such as on-device translation and WeatherKit weather) require a newer iOS version or a compatible device.
