Travel Records & Documents
The data for these tools is stored on your device and can be synced via your iCloud (the confidential fields in the Document Vault are an exception — they stay on the device in encrypted form only).
Expense Tracking
Open "Trip Expenses" within a trip:
- Top right "+" adds an expense: amount, currency (multi-currency support including TWD/JPY/USD/EUR/KRW/HKD/CNY/THB/SGD/MYR/VND/AUD/GBP, etc.), item, category, payment method, time, and notes, and you can attach a receipt photo (take a photo or pick from the library).
- Tap a card to edit; press and hold to delete.
- Filter with the funnel icon (date, category, currency, amount range, keyword).
- Tap the chart icon to view charts such as "daily cumulative / category breakdown / top 10," along with the total converted to TWD and the budget usage rate.
Settlement
"Settlement" turns the shared expenses within a trip into the simplest "who owes whom" transfers, making it easy to settle up at once when the trip ends. (For configuring companions, see Travel Planning & Map.)
You can configure the split per expense — tap any expense and, under "Split Settings," specify:
- Who paid? — Pick a single payer (or leave it "Unassigned"). Expenses with no assigned payer are flagged with a banner and are temporarily excluded from the settlement.
- Who shares it? — Select which companions share this expense; leaving no one selected = split evenly among all companions, while selecting some means only the selected people split it evenly.
The system splits each expense and sums them up to compute everyone's net amount (to receive / to pay / already settled) and the minimum list of transfers. Amounts are shown as whole-number New Taiwan dollars; for each transfer you can share a payment-request message, and you can also share the full settlement summary. Online payment (OPay / PayPal) is a planned future integration.
Travel Journal
"Travel Journal" :
- The pencil at the top right adds a journal entry: choose a mood, date, associated trip (or general), title, and content, and you can attach photos.
- Tap a card to edit; press and hold to delete.
- Switch the view by "All / General / a specific trip."
Trip Photos
"Photos" within a trip :
- "+" lets you take a photo or choose from the library (up to 30 at a time), presented as a timeline.
- Tap a thumbnail for full-screen viewing (pinch to zoom, double-tap to enlarge); press and hold to delete.
- Photos are synced across devices via your private R2 space.
Packing List
"Packing List" :
- Add items (name + category), or load from 5 built-in templates: overseas travel, domestic travel, business trip, camping, and island getaway (choose to "append" or "clear and load").
- Switch the scope by "All Packing / General List / a specific trip," grouped by category.
- Tap an item to check it as packed; swipe left to delete; you can clear packed items or reset everything; packing progress is shown at the top.
- When the trip ends, you can "Save as Travel Record" to make a packing snapshot and store it in your history.
Packing Record History
"Travel Packing Records" lists the packing snapshots you've saved each time via "Save as Travel Record," handy for reviewing later or as a reference when packing again.
Shopping List
"Shopping List" :
- Add items: name, category, unit price + currency, quantity, notes.
- Tap an item to check it as purchased; swipe left to edit or delete.
- Shows the budget, amount spent, and subtotal.
Document Vault
"Documents" is for safeguarding your travel document information:
- On entry, you must unlock with Face ID / Touch ID (if it fails, you can fall back to the device passcode); if no passcode is set on the device, it isn't blocked.
- Quickly add a passport / visa / boarding pass / insurance, or create a custom category.
- Each document is divided into General Info (title, subtitle, public summary, expiry date, associated trip) and optional confidential fields (passport number, visa number, policy number, booking reference, driver's license number, confidential notes).
- Documents with an expiry date are marked as valid / expiring soon / expired, and you can press and hold to set a "reminder 30 days before expiry."
When you enable confidential fields, this sensitive data is stored only in encrypted form in the secure storage (Keychain) of your current device, and is never uploaded to a server or synced to iCloud or other devices. If you switch devices, the confidential fields must be re-entered. We recommend managing account-and-password information with iOS "Settings → Passwords" instead, and preferring Passkeys for services with two-factor authentication.
Ticket Wallet
"Ticket Wallet" turns bookings with a confirmation code into ticket-stub cards: a dark ticket-stub style (with the airline's brand color applied) + a QR generated locally from the confirmation code, presentable offline. Tapping "Add to Apple Wallet" obtains a signed pass (.pkpass) and adds it to the system "Wallet" app.
Trip Recap
"Trip Recap" creates a postcard-style recap of finished trips: footprint and spending statistics, a curated photo wall, and an AI highlights summary (using an on-device model when the device supports it, otherwise falling back to a statistics-based summary), which you can share or save as a template.
Cloud Collaboration (Co-Editing)
"Companions" (see Travel Planning & Map) supports local split configuration, and once signed in you can also enable cloud collaboration to invite others to view or edit a trip together:
- Generate an invite link to share with your companions; they can join by tapping the link (
trip.yucts.com/{id}/join). - When inviting, you can specify a permission level: Editable (can add and modify content), Add-only (can only add, not change existing data), or View-only (read-only).
- You can view the member list and stop sharing at any time.
- Photos and trip data are synced among collaborating members.
Trip Share Links
"Share Trip" can generate a read-only web share link so that people who don't have the app installed can still view your trip:
- Choose what to share: waypoints are always included, and you can optionally also share amounts, companions, journals, and photos.
- You must set an expiration (7 / 30 / 90 / 365 days), and you can additionally add password protection.
- You must check the upload consent box before the link is created, and you'll get a
trip.yucts.comlink and a QR code. - On the management page, you can view each link's view count and expiration status, and copy or revoke links.
Trip Statistics
For the spending dashboard across all trips, see Travel Planning & Map → Expense Statistics.
Export PDF
In "Trip Planning," open a trip and choose "Export PDF (Printable)" from the trip menu (⋯):
- The PDF includes a cover summary, spending analysis, a per-day itinerary timeline, a payment details table, and a photo wall (up to the first 9 photos).
- Once generated, you can save or send it via "Share."
