Forum Community

The forum, chat, profiles, and Authors are among the most mature areas of the macOS version, with content coming directly from the yucts.com forum.

Forum

The sidebar's "Forum" is a three-column layout: boards on the left, the thread list in the middle, and a content preview on the right.

  • Guests can read; after signing in you can:
    • Start a new thread (the pencil icon in the toolbar opens the compose panel).
    • Reply (the reply box at the bottom).
    • Like (react) to the first post.
  • Boards with unread content are marked with a red icon; pinned threads appear in their own section.
  • Posts are shown with native rendering (not an embedded web page); click an avatar to open the poster's profile.
Moderation actions

Moderation actions such as pinning / featuring are restricted to moderators or administrators. Regular users won't see these options.

Chat / Private Messages

The sidebar's "Chat" is a two-column private messaging interface.

Sign-in required

Guests see a "Sign in to use chat" prompt; you must sign in to use it.

Conversation list

  • Shows the other person's avatar, a preview, an unread-count badge, and a group indicator.
  • You can pin conversations (right-click menu) and add a star.

Inside a conversation

  • Messages are shown as bubbles, and text can be selected.
  • Quote reply: brings the original message along as a quote.
  • Pinned messages: a pinned bar at the top (up to 5); tap one to jump to that message.
  • Toggle the star and mark as read.
  • Leave a conversation: offers two options, "accept / ignore future messages".

Forum Profiles

Tap any avatar to open a profile:

  • Avatar, name, identity badges (admin / moderator / VIP / team), and title.
  • Stats: messages, reaction score, trophies, followers, following, and last seen.
  • Tabs: About / Trophies / Following, with Follow / Unfollow.

Authors

The sidebar's "Authors" introduces the author team:

  • A team key visual plus a grid of author cards.
  • Click an author card to open a detail panel (bio, stats, social links).
