Getting Started
First Launch
The first time you open the app, you'll see a single welcome screen: the Yucts Travel logo, a welcome message, and a "Start Exploring" button. Tap it to enter the app.
The macOS version currently uses a single welcome page, without the multi-step tutorial of the iPhone version. A full onboarding experience is still planned.
Guest vs. Signed In
You can use the app right away as a guest, without registering. The differences are as follows:
| Feature | Guest | Signed In |
|---|---|---|
| Browse Home articles, Deals, Authors, the forum (read-only), and anonymous AI Q&A | ✅ | ✅ |
| Browse the map and travel tools (local data) | ✅ | ✅ |
| Forum posting / replying / reacting, and chat private messages | ❌ | ✅ |
| Adding pins on the Map Wall, cloud photo uploads, and trip collaboration | ❌ | ✅ |
| Push registration, AI conversation history, and on-site source retrieval | ❌ | ✅ |
Actions that require signing in will prompt you to go to "Settings → Account" to sign in (you can also press ⌘, or click the gear at the bottom of the sidebar to open it). For sign-in methods, see Account & Sign-In.
Appearance Mode
Under "Settings (⌘,) → General" you can choose the appearance:
- Follow System
- Light
- Dark
Changes apply instantly to the entire window.
iCloud Sync Preference
Under "Settings (⌘,) → General" you can enable "iCloud Trip Sync". This toggle becomes available after you sign in and complete account setup; it shares the same iCloud container as iOS, syncing travel data such as trips, packing, and orders between your Mac and other devices. See Privacy & Permissions.
This macOS version requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later.
