Notifications & Widgets

Push Notifications

  • After you sign in, the app registers a push token; when a notification arrives while you're using the app, it's shown as a banner + sound + badge.
Cloud push depends on backend enablement

Push registration on the desktop is ready; cloud push delivery for macOS is actually sent only after the backend is enabled. While the backend is not yet enabled, you may temporarily not receive cloud push notifications even when the device registers successfully.

Dock Badge

The app icon in the Dock shows an unread-count badge (sharing the same unread data as the desktop widget).

Desktop Widgets

Two native desktop widgets are provided (small / medium sizes):

  • YUCTS Latest: shows the unread count and the latest thread title.
  • Trip Countdown: shows the next trip's name and the countdown days to departure.

How to add them: edit widgets on the desktop or in Notification Center, search for "YUCTS", and add it.

Differences from iOS

The macOS version doesn't have Lock Screen Live Activities or accessory widgets (those are iOS-only). The desktop also has no persistent menu bar extra app, offering only the standard Notification Center / desktop widgets and the Dock badge.

In-App Banners

  • Maintenance banner: shown at the top of the screen when core services are under maintenance or experiencing issues.
  • Announcement banner: shows official announcements; it can be dismissed and may include a link.
