Home and Reading Articles

Home is where your daily reading begins. Tap into any article and you'll enter a reading page designed for long, comfortable sessions.

Home

From top to bottom, Home includes:

  • Greeting area — "YucDu" and a short greeting at the top.
  • Category tags — A row of category tags you can scroll left and right; tap one to jump to that category's article list.
  • Featured article — A large hero image that draws you into editor-picked content.
  • Latest articles — A list of articles ordered by publish date. Scroll down and more load automatically.

Quick tips:

  • Pull to refresh — Pull down at the top of Home to fetch the latest articles.
  • Quick favorite — Every article card has a heart, so you can save an article without even opening it.

Three Reading Layouts

Home supports three layouts, switchable in Settings → Appearance → Display Style. Your choice is remembered:

LayoutLook
C Modern Card (default)Rounded cards with cover images — modern and fresh.
B MagazineLarge vermilion numbers and big Mincho headings, like flipping through a magazine.
A MinimalThin dividers, no cover images — text only, for maximum focus.

The Article Reading Page

Once you tap into an article, you'll see:

  • Category and date — An accent-colored tag above the title marks the category, along with the publish date.
  • Title and reading info — A large Mincho heading, with the estimated reading time and word count below it.
  • Author — Tap the author card to visit the author page and browse their other articles.
  • Body — Rendered section by section with native components: images, lists, quotes, tables, code, and YouTube videos, plus blog-friendly formats like callout boxes, steps, and Q&As, all shown natively.
  • Tags — The tags at the bottom of the article; tap one to browse other articles with the same tag.
  • Related articles — A few related pieces recommended for you once you finish reading.

  • If you've read the article before, the previously saved offline version appears automatically, even if you don't currently have a connection. See Favorites and Offline Reading for more.
