Notifications

With notifications on, YucDu alerts you the moment a new article is published, so you never miss a thing.

Turning On Notifications

  • The first time you open the app, the system asks whether to allow YucDu to send notifications. Tap Allow to start receiving new-article alerts.
  • If you chose not to allow them at first, you can turn them back on later in iOS under Settings → Notifications → YucDu.

Tapping a Notification to Open an Article

When you get a new-article notification, tapping it opens that article right in the app — no need to go hunting for it on Home yourself.

Even if the app is completely closed, tapping through from a notification opens the right article correctly.

Getting Notifications While Using the App

If a new-article notification arrives while you're using the app, it also appears as a banner at the top of the screen, so you can choose to check it right away or read it later.

Notifications Are Only for New Articles

YucDu's notifications simply let you know "there's a new article." The app has no accounts and no social interactions, so there are no notifications for comments, follows, or direct messages. For details on the data involved in notifications, see Privacy and Permissions.
